The Scientific Advisory Board consits of a group of three independent technical and socio-cultural experts with a broad experience and expertise in project related areas of reserch.
The main task of the Scientific Advisory Board is to oversee the science and society issues, related to the research activities conducted within the project. |

Prof. Katzy |
| Bernhard R. Katzy started his professional career with an apprenticeship as car mechanic and later earned master degrees in electrical engineering and business management. He holds a Ph.D. in industrial management from University of Technology (RWTH) Aachen in Germany and a second Ph.D. (habilitation) in general management and technology management from University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. He currently is professor at the University BW Munich (D) and Leiden University (NL) and director of CeTIM - Center for Technology and Innovation Management. His research interest is about entrepreneurial management of fast growing high-tech firms and the management of strategic change in the transition to the information age. |

Prof. Ueda |
| Kanji Ueda received B.E. and M.E. degrees in Precision Engineering from Osaka University, Japan and Dr.Eng. degree from the same University in 1978. He is Professor and the Director of RACE (Research into Artifacts, Center for Engineering) at the University of Tokyo. He has been engaged in 1972 in the fields of manufacturing systems, emergent synghesis and complex adaptive systems. He has published over 400 scientific papers. He has also been given many best paper awards and research awards by academic societies and research foundations. He has been heading many research projects, charing international conferences and taking part in editorial boards as a co-editor or a member for many international journals. He is a fellow of CIRP (International Academy for Production Engineering) |

Dr. Amblard |
| Computer scientist by formation, Frédéric Amblard achieved his PhD thesis in the Laboratory for the Engineering of Complex Systems at the Cemagref in 2003 working on agent-based simulation of opinion dynamics and the understanding of emergent phenomena generated by simulation. From 2004 he is assistant professor in computer sciences at the University of Social Sciences in Toulouse, France. He is also secretary of the European Social Simulation Association and co-organised several summer schools and conferences on complex systems and agent-based simulation. He also participated in the edition of three books on the subjects. |
